The 2025 Manufacturing Indaba

Prism Group recently participated in the 2025 Manufacturing Indaba at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. For those who are unfamiliar, the Indaba is one of Africa’s largest manufacturing events. It allows industrial leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators to come together and change the future of manufacturing. We used the opportunity to showcase our products, as well as make meaningful connections and give back to our community and supporters. 

Product Showcase

Our stand (H51) was a showcase of our comprehensive range of solutions in lighting, plastics, die casting, engineering, and advanced manufacturing. Visitors got to meet team members Tariro, Timothy and Tyrone who were present representing our range of offerings:

Giving Back 

As mentioned above, showcasing our products wasn’t our only goal at the Indaba. While PRISM is dedicated to creating innovative manufacturing solutions, we also wanted to connect with our supporters (and potential new partners) and give back to the community in a meaningful way. 

The first way we did this was by giving away Home Hospitality Stations provided by Gerald Joseph to two of the Indaba attendees. A comment on our LinkedIn page added their names to a pool of potential winners, and our team pulled out Lorinda Steenkamp and Neledia Sekatane, who we hope are thoroughly enjoying their stations. 

However, it’s the Maze Challenge School Initiative that we’re most proud of. Those who visited the booth were given the opportunity to contribute to a school in need by participating in the challenge. The eventual winner then determined which school would get a donation of light fittings valued at R40,000. Lilian was the eventual winner and nominated Windy Heights Primary School in Durban. 

Making Connections

The Indaba also allowed us to meet some new friends, each of which we look forward to hopefully partnering with in the future. Our partners are one of the most important factors behind what we do. Each collaboration means another step forward, improving the landscape of manufacturing in South Africa. 

Moving Forward

The Manufacturing Indaba was more than just an exhibition. It was an opportunity to have a conversation about the future of manufacturing in both South Africa and the wider continent. We are honoured to be a part of the conversation and stand proudly as a South African company that is dedicated to innovation, skills development and sustainable industrial growth.
