Prism’s Goals for 2026
Team we’re already a few months into the year, and there’s a strong sense of
momentum across all our divisions! This year, our focus is on strengthening who we are as a business, our vision, purpose, mission, and culture, and making sure these are not just words, but something we live out every day on the floor, in the office, and in how we serve each other, our customers and stakeholders. Alongside this, we’re working hard to grow our product range, protect and create jobs, and fill key roles so that each division can run more smoothly and efficiently as we work toward our group goals. We kicked off the year with an exciting Culture Workshop, where teams came together to align on what Prism stands for and how we bring it to life, and this is just the beginning of building a stronger, more united Prism.
Insights into the Culture Workshop
Culture is not just something we define, it’s something we live every day. It’s reflected in how we think, how we act, and how we respond to challenges as a team.
Employees overcoming their fears at the Culture Workshop

A strong culture helps everyone understand what is expected, it builds trust, and brings people together. It guides how we make decisions, how we behave, and allows teams to reach their full potential. It shapes not just what we achieve, but how we achieve it.
Our team recently had the privilege of attending a culture workshop, gaining valuable insight into organisational culture and what it truly represents. The session unpacked how culture shapes behaviours, influences decision-making, and ultimately impacts the way individuals and teams operate within the business.
During the workshop, attendees gained a better understanding of how the human brain functions, including the factors that can limit individuals from performing at their full potential. More importantly, they were equipped with practical tools to manage these challenges and grow into more effective and self-aware individuals.
A key takeaway from the workshop was the realisation that, both in the workplace and in our daily lives, we face challenges. However, it is not the challenges themselves that define the results, but rather how we choose to respond to them.
As a result of this workshop, a Culture Committee has been established. The purpose of this committee is to drive continuous improvement within the culture of the Prism Group. The committee helps make sure that all teams are working together moving in the same direction. It provides a safe space based on shared values, a place for team members to share ideas, and a way to fix any misalignment when it happens. It also identifies gaps within our culture and supports important initiatives, such as recognition programs. Ultimately the committee is there is to protect and nurture our culture, making sure it is actively practiced and felt across the whole organisation.

Building update: Engel 1800t Injection moulding Facility

It’s an exciting season of progress at Prism, with strong momentum on the new Plastic Injection Moulding facility that will house the ENGEL 1800-ton machine.
Significant progress has been made – services and roadway are complete, and the steel structure and roofing are now in place. To support the scale of the machine, the foundation was re-laid to a one-meter depth for load-bearing, and the building height increased to 10 meters to accommodate robotic systems and operational clearance.
The next phase includes installing a high-capacity gantry system for safe and efficient tooling handling.
We are targeting completion by the end of May, with commissioning to follow. Work is already being lined up to ensure a strong start.
This investment marks another key step in strengthening Prism’s manufacturing capability and future growth.
Expansion of Product Range

It is with great excitement that we introduce the new GJ Core Range, a carefully curated extension of the Gerald Joseph brand. This range has been developed to serve a broader spectrum of applications, price points, and project requirements, while still upholding the uncompromising standards that define Gerald Joseph.
While the Core Range is not manufactured in our local facilities, every product is thoughtfully selected, engineered, and approved to meet our strict benchmarks for safety, compliance, performance, and finish.
Our locally manufactured range remains our flagship commitment to the South African industry and job creation. The Core Range has been introduced to provide added flexibility and accessibility, market demand for the range will be assessed over a period and based on this Prism will tool up to manufacture the high demand lines, enhancing our product offering to customers and increasing production outputs strengthening job security. All products within our range upholds Gerald Joseph philosophy – integrity, craftsmanship, and Products for Better Living.

A Healthy Team Living Out Prism Culture
In our last edition we gave you a FUN FACT about teamwork, so what does a healthy team living out Prism’s Culture Look Like?

A healthy team is all about Learning & Developing together
In a Healthy Team:
- We trust each other
Team members are open, honest, and comfortable with being vulnerable. They admit mistakes, ask for help, and build strong, supportive working relationships. - We embrace healthy conflict
Our teams engage in open, respectful discussions. Ideas are shared, challenges are raised constructively, and debate leads to the best possible decisions. - There is clear commitment
After discussions, everyone is aligned and fully committed to decisions—even if there was initial disagreement. There is clarity on direction and priorities. - There is mutual accountability
Team members hold each other responsible for performance and behaviour. Standards are maintained, and feedback is given directly and constructively, helping everyone improve. - We focus on collective results
Shared goals always come first. Success is measured by team outcomes, and everyone works together to achieve them.

We’d like to give a special mention to a few team members who showed fantastic attitude, initiative, and diligence in the first quarter.

Team Updates
In loving Memory
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of a valued member of our team Gail Jewel who passed away unexpectedly at the beginning of the year. Gail served the company faithfully for over 20 years. She will always be remembered for her dedication and unwavering commitment to her role at Prism. Gail served as a Creditors and Wage clerk while holding the function of a Human Resources officer. Although introverted by nature she was passionate and knowledgeable with assisting employees with HR related claims and matters. As a company we have extended our heartfelt condolences to her family. Her contribution, presence, and the impact she made within our workplace will always be remembered.

Seasonal Message

As we approach the Easter weekend, we want to take a moment to reflect on the meaning of this season and what it represents.
For many of us, it is a time that reminds us of the greatest act of love and sacrifice- when Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross, and through His resurrection, brought hope, restoration, and new life to the world. It is through this that we are reminded that no matter our past or present circumstances, there is always hope, grace, and the opportunity for a new beginning.
Our heart is that each and every person in Prism experiences hope, peace, and a sense of purpose- not only in the workplace, but in life as a whole.
As you spend time with your families and loved ones over this long weekend, we wish you a safe, restful, and enjoyable Easter.
